The project, now in its tenth edition under the slogan “Enreguéifate, construíndo patrimonio” (Enreguéifate, building heritage), originates from the linguistic normalization services of several Galician municipalities. This year, Narón and A Baña join, bringing the total number of participating municipalities to eight, alongside Ames, Arzúa, Carballo, Pontevedra, Santiago de Compostela, and Teo.
The first activity of the academic year will be a workshop for teachers, scheduled for Friday, October 23rd, from 4:30 PM to 8:30 PM, at the Pazo da Cultura in Pontevedra. Led by Lupe Blanco, Josinho da Teixeira, Manolo Maseda, and Séchu Sende, educators will learn to use regueifa as a didactic tool to foster expression, empathy, and teamwork in the classroom, as well as promote values such as diversity, cooperation, integration, and feminism.
The session will also serve to review the project's progress as it celebrates its tenth anniversary. Participation requires prior registration via the Enreguéifate form, open until Tuesday, October 20th. There are 45 available spots, and if applications exceed this number, priority will be given to teachers from participating municipalities and from the target educational levels: 5th and 6th grade of Primary Education and ESO (Secondary Education).
The rest of the tenth edition's program will be announced in the coming weeks. For more information, interested parties can contact info@enregueifate.gal or call 686 679 897 (Elena Mareque).
