The Rectory House in Ares hosted the conclusion of municipal organic waste campaign training sessions, where residents and hospitality professionals shared tips for reducing food waste.

The training sessions for the municipal organic waste campaign in Ares concluded at the Rectory House, with active participation from residents and local hospitality professionals. The aim was to gather ideas, tips, and sustainable habits for the kitchen to reduce food waste.
During the workshops, participants received practical advice and recipes for food utilization to make the most of ingredients, improve the preservation of perishable products, and prevent edible food from ending up unnecessarily in the trash. This learning is applicable both in homes and in the town's hospitality establishments.
This initiative joins other activities promoted by the Concello de Ares with citizens and local hospitality, such as DegustAres, MercAres, Showcookings, or work with Grandes Produtores, aiming to expand the use of the brown bin and strengthen the collective commitment to waste prevention, circular economy, and responsible consumption.
The project is part of the municipal strategy for improving waste management and is co-financed by the European Union through the Galicia Feder 2021-2027 program.
