The civil service entrance examinations of the Galician Health Service (Sergas), held this morning at the Recinto Feiral Internacional de Silleda, recorded a participation rate of 78.16%. A total of 1,167 candidates out of 1,493 registered attended the exams for the categories of admission and clinical documentation physician, senior technician in information systems and technologies, social worker, and mechanic.
Specifically, for the admission and clinical documentation physician category (5 positions offered), 41 out of 57 called took the exam. For senior technician in information systems and technologies (9 positions), 63 out of 91 admitted participated. In the social worker category (57 positions), 858 out of 1,068 registered candidates attended, and for mechanic (5 positions), 205 out of 277 admitted.
This afternoon, starting at 4:00 PM, a total of 8,003 people will participate in the access tests for the administrative function auxiliary group, for which 192 positions are offered.
The tests will continue next weekend, on November 14 and 15, with the participation of over 10,000 candidates. On Saturday, the venue will host candidates for general physician (6 positions), primary care pharmacists (31 positions), primary care dentists (8 positions), technician in information systems and technologies management (9 positions), and heating technician (7 positions). In the afternoon, tests for ward assistant will take place, with 348 positions for 7,800 people.
On Sunday, November 15, the examinations will conclude with the categories of 061 assistance physician (8 positions), occupational therapist (11 positions), dietitian-nutritionist (45 positions), and electrician (11 positions), for which there are 1,202 candidates.
Throughout this autumn, the Xunta's health department is organizing these tests to access a total of 2,223 positions.
