The intervention, with an investment of 110,449’94 euros from the Provincial Council of Pontevedra, represents a substantial transformation in the safety and mobility for residents and users of this rural road. The project allowed for the widening of the road, renewal of the surface, and improvement of road safety and accessibility over a stretch of nearly half a kilometer.
The problem of narrowness, which hindered passage at several points, has been resolved, now ensuring safer access to both local homes and surrounding agricultural plots. Councillor Carmen Gómez observed the improvements in the area.
Among the executed improvements are the cleaning of the verges and the conditioning of ditches to ensure proper rainwater drainage. The platform has also been widened, including earthworks and widening at the three main curves and the intermediate section, now allowing for safer crossing and maneuvering of vehicles.
The pavement has been renewed by milling the old surface and laying a new hot mix asphalt wearing course. With this action, the Concello de Valga reaffirms its commitment to modernizing rural infrastructure.
