The territorial delegate of the Xunta in Lugo, Alfonso Villares, participated today in the presentation of the fair, organized by the association Cabaleiros de Lourenzá. The event will begin at 9:00 AM and aims to preserve the region's equestrian tradition.
The program includes gait tests, a morphofunctional foal competition, and the Galician Marchador Horse Championship. There will also be trading of equine, bovine, ovine, caprine, and porcine livestock, as well as free pony rides for children.
Awards will be presented to the best specimens in categories such as draft, purebred Arabian, Spanish breed, and Friesian, as well as to the best traditionally decorated horse.
Villares encouraged citizens to participate in this day dedicated to horses, tradition, and community.
