The provincial institution will feature its own program to showcase the work of creators from the province and highlight some of its literary and musical awards. The Deputy of Culture, Natividade González, attended the official presentation of the festival, which will bring together over 800 Galician artists and creators with around 200 shows and activities.
González emphasized the fair's significance for Galician culture and the pride of the Deputation of A Coruña in participating once again. "From the Deputation, we continue to collaborate with a program that allows us to bring a good representation of the cultural work developed in our province to this space," she stated, highlighting Galician talent.
The deputy also championed Culturgal as a space for meeting and collective construction. "Here, not only books, shows, or cultural projects are presented. Here we meet, share, learn about what others are doing, and above all, continue building collective culture," she added.
The Deputation of A Coruña's program will focus on musical and literary proposals. On Saturday, November 28, at 1:00 PM, Raposa, winner of the NARF Awards 2026, will perform. In the afternoon, at 6:00 PM, the event "Premios que tecen redes: Certames Literarios da Deputación da Coruña" (Awards that Weave Networks: Literary Contests of the Deputation of A Coruña) will be held, featuring Manuel Barreiro and Elías Taño presenting Maré, winner of the Castelao Award for Comic Strips, followed by a book signing.
On Sunday, November 29, at 4:00 PM, Antía Yáñez, winner of the Raíña Lupa Award for Children's and Youth Literature 2025, will present Bragakadabra in conversation with Lois Pérez, a winner in the 2022 edition. The event will also recall Agustín Fernández Paz, winner of the first edition in 1998. Journalist Susana Pedreira will moderate both conversations.
The program will conclude on Sunday at 5:00 PM with a concert by the bands and projects that won the children's music competition Quero Cantar in 2026, an initiative to foster musical creation among children and youth.
