The commemorative exhibition '10 years of Festigual', installed at the Fórum Metropolitano in A Coruña until November 20, celebrates the festival's tenth edition, highlighting culture as a fundamental right and accessibility as an essential element.

The Festigual exhibition opened its doors this afternoon at the Fórum Metropolitano, offering a journey through its ten editions. The exhibition brings together new creations from the 'Arte con Impacto' framework and materials reflecting the evolution of a cultural project consolidated in accessibility and inclusion.
During the inauguration, councilor Nereida Canosa emphasized culture as a fundamental right, stressing the importance of "including support that each person needs" and the responsibility of public institutions to "create the conditions that allow this right to be exercised," incorporating accessibility from the design of cultural activities.
The exhibition originates from the Accessible and Inclusive Culture call by the Fundación Emalcsa, which gave rise to Festigual as a meeting space between artistic talent and social entities. A central section is dedicated to 'Arte con Impacto', an initiative supported by Reale Foundation, which brought together five artists and five social entities from A Coruña in collaborative works.
The exhibition also includes a sculpture with the number ten covered with 10,000 stamps, the photographic exhibition 'Unha mirada á diversidade' by Óscar Corral, posters from past editions, and a balance of over 160 activities, around a thousand artists, and 14,000 participants since 2017. This Saturday, an intervention by the Asociación AÏS will be added.
Canosa also highlighted Festigual's experience in the overall municipal activity, citing the Noroeste Estrella Galicia Festival, which obtained the Music for All seal after incorporating accessibility measures with the Fundación Emalcsa.
Festigual's program continues this weekend with performances by comedians, urban culture, and proposals from orchestras and clowns. The festival, organized by the Concello da Coruña and the Fundación Emalcsa, will run until November 19.
