The Secretary General of Language, Valentín García, presented the multi-artistic show ‘O son do ar’ and the new tour of Os Bolechas, which will travel to 21 municipalities as part of the FalaRedes program, emphasizing its role in transmitting Galician in family settings.

The FalaRedes program, an initiative by the Xunta de Galicia for the promotion of the Galician language, is strengthening its schedule with the multi-artistic show ‘O son do ar’ and the new tour of the popular puppets Os Bolechas. The Secretary General of Language, Valentín García, highlighted today the importance of these proposals for transmitting Galician in family leisure activities, particularly in peri-urban contexts.
‘O son do ar’, which can be seen in Viveiro (November 8), O Barco de Valdeorras (December 4), and Lugo (December 22), is a performance that combines dance, singing, narration, and poetry, and pays tribute to Galician emigration. It features narration by Luís Iglesia, the voice of Paty Lesta, dance by Ricardo Fernández, piano by Cristian Leggiero, and percussion by Moisés Fernández, under the artistic direction of Iván Villar.
Meanwhile, the tour of Os Bolechas, titled ‘Aquí hai moito ruído’ (There's a lot of noise here), will visit a total of 21 Galician municipalities. The performances will begin this Friday in Valga and continue until the end of December in locations such as Ordes, Abegondo, A Teixeira, Padrón, Coristanco, Arzúa, Outes, Bergondo, Ares, Baiona, Negreira, Fisterra, Palas de Rei, Rois, Carral, Cerdedo Cotobade, Allariz, Vedra, Cedeira, and Begonte.
These initiatives are part of the first 50 actions of the new General Plan for the Normalization of the Galician Language, approved by Parliament, which aims to promote the language among children and families. All information regarding dates, locations, and times is available on the Galician Language Portal and the Culture Agenda of Galicia.
