The A Coruña Council has published the list of applications for places in Municipal Infant Schools and updated the total number of available vacancies for final distribution, following scoring criteria.

The process of distributing available places in A Coruña's municipal infant schools will begin in the coming days. The list of applications submitted outside the ordinary deadline or for exceptional reasons has already been published by the Council, which has also updated the total number of vacancies in the city's different centers to carry out the final allocation.
Currently, the year group with the most free places is 3rd year (for children born in 2024), with a total of 117 vacancies. This is followed by 1st year (born in 2026), with 40 places, and 2nd year (born in 2025), with 12. These vacancies will be distributed among families on the waiting list and new applicants.
“

"We are working to ensure that all families can access this service in one of the city's public centers. It should be remembered that all infant schools are free for families, and our goal is for more people to benefit each year."

Inés Rey · Mayor
The Council plans to allocate places based on scoring criteria among the applicant families. Vacancies that arise until December of this year will be filled from the waiting list, offering places in order. If a family does not accept an offered place, they will maintain their position on the waiting list for future calls.
The updated waiting list and the list of vacant places can be consulted on the Education service's website of the A Coruña Council.
