The Provincial Council of A Coruña will present the province's gastronomic richness at the Gastronomic Forum Barcelona next week, with a program featuring haute cuisine, local products, and tastings.

The Provincial Council of A Coruña will bring the full gastronomic potential of the province to the Gastronomic Forum Barcelona next week. The Coruña delegation will combine haute cuisine, recognized with two Michelin stars, with harmony talks and the excellence of local seafood, land, and livestock products.
Over three days, the provincial space will host live cooking demonstrations, tastings of cheeses and wines with Protected Geographical Indication and Denomination of Origin, as well as daily tastings with leading industry professionals.
The event will begin on Monday with the daily opening by Cafés Aruba, San Isidro Bakery, and Galegas de Nata. That day includes showcookings by Nair González (Restaurante Muelle 43 and Confraría de Barallobre) and Andrés Torreiro (Restaurante D'Obra). There will also be a vertical cheese tasting guided by Óscar Ramil (CRDOP Arzúa-Ulloa) and a pairing workshop with wines from IXP Terras de Betanzos and Celtic pork from Cárnicas Domínguez, along with tastings from Empanadas Ternura da Coruña. In the Workshop Room, chef Manuel Costiña (Restaurante Retiro da Costiña), holder of two Michelin stars, will give the talk-tasting "A journey from family cuisine to haute gastronomy", highlighting Lira octopus, Coristanco potato, and Cachena breed beef.
On Tuesday, showcookings by Víctor Basante (Restaurante Arrueiro) and further sessions by Nair González on razor clam empanada will continue. The day also includes a pairing workshop between wines from D.O. Rías Baixas María Manuela, Galmesán cheese, and Bonilla a la Vista fried potatoes, as well as presentations from Conserveira de Ribeira and Celtic pork products from Cárnicas Domínguez.
Wednesday will close the program with offerings from Mar Lago and Álex Martínez (Restaurante Bacelo), and Nair González. Alejandro Paadín will lead a final pairing workshop, uniting wines from IXP Barbanza e Iria with traditional pâtés of tuna, mussel, octopus, and razor clam from Conserveira de Ribeira.
The Vice President of the Provincial Council, Xosé Regueira, emphasized that "our presence at the Barcelona Forum is an unparalleled opportunity to showcase the enormous quality of our pantry and the talent of our chefs. We want to convey the essence of our landscape through flavor, demonstrating that the province of A Coruña is a top-tier gastronomic reference where tradition and innovation go hand in hand to generate value in our territory and the tourism sector".
