A Coruña City Council, along with hospitality businesses and neighborhood associations, presents a Samaín awareness campaign titled "Have a scary good time without bothering others," aiming to ensure residents' rest and promote civic nightlife.

The Mayor of A Coruña, Inés Rey, today presented the Samaín program, which includes a nightlife awareness campaign and free activities in civic centers. The initiative involves collaboration with Luis Diz (Galicia de Noite), Luisa Varela (Federation of Neighborhood Associations), Rubén Valverde (Hijos de Rivera), and Vicente Pizcueta (España de Noche).
The City Council will extend the opening hours of hospitality venues from Friday, October 30th (10:00 PM) until Sunday, November 1st (11:00 PM). The campaign "Have a scary good time without bothering others" seeks to raise awareness about the importance of civility and respect for residents' rest, with teams providing information in leisure areas and a "Santa Compaña" (ghostly procession) on October 31st.
The campaign will also be promoted on social media and includes graphic materials and giveaways. A study will be conducted on attendee profiles and their perception of nightlife's impact. This initiative is part of A Coruña's designation as Spain's Nightlife Capital for 2026.
Additionally, civic centers will host twelve children's parties and nine free Samaín workshops, requiring prior registration. Activities will begin on Friday, October 30th, and run until November 7th, targeting children and young people.
Notable workshops include "Masks of the Souls," "Samaín Night Mobiles," and "Samaín Magic Lanterns," alongside children's parties. The Fórum Metropolitano Library will host the "Forest of Reading Souls" workshop for 6-8 year olds, and the youth space O Remanso will screen the film "Faust" and feature a "spooky karaoke" for 12-30 year olds.
