The A Coruña City Council has completed the construction of a new public parking lot on Maestro Anta street, regularizing a parking area and gaining spaces to improve safety and mobility.

The A Coruña City Council has finished the works for the new public parking lot located on Maestro Anta street. This action aims to regularize an area where parking was already common, thus completing a reorganization that allows for several parking spaces to be gained by rationalizing and delimiting the available areas. Furthermore, it guarantees the reservation of specific zones for people with reduced mobility (PMR).
The mayor, Inés Rey, emphasized that "With this intervention, we want to satisfy a neighborhood demand, but we also seek to clearly define spaces that were being used improperly by many users. It is about reinforcing safety, properly compartmentalizing the street to ensure correct parking, vehicle passage along the street, areas for placing containers, and, of course, PMR spaces."
This intervention responds to the needs of the residents to improve parking spaces in this area of the city. Not only is the number of vehicles that can use the facilities increased, but safety is also brought to the surroundings with regularization, thus avoiding improper parking and dangerous occupations of the public road by vehicles.
This action is in addition to a similar one that the City Council recently completed on Avenida del Ejército, at its intersection with Rúa Río de Monelos. There, new floor markings and a clear delimitation of on-street parking zones were also carried out on a high-traffic street.
