The Xunta de Galicia has initiated road surface reinforcement works on seven regional roads in the Vigo area, with an investment of nearly €3 million, starting in Salvaterra de Miño.

The territorial delegate of the Xunta in Vigo, Ana Ortiz, visited this Tuesday the works that have begun on the PO-403 road, in Salvaterra de Miño. These actions are part of a plan by the Ministry of Housing and Infrastructure Planning, executed by the Galician Agency of Infrastructure, with a total budget of €2,926,775.38. The objective is to renew the asphalt on seven regional roads as they pass through Vigo and three other municipalities in the region: Redondela, Nigrán, and Salvaterra do Miño.
According to the territorial representative, the plan aims to improve the functional characteristics and enhance road safety on various sections of the regional roads PO-010, PO-330, PO-323, PO-324, PO-325, PO-371, and PO-403.
The works, awarded to the company Marconsa, Movimiento de Aridos y Construcciones de Arosa, S.L., will consist of superficial rehabilitation of the road surface, restoring pavement characteristics and adapting them to functional and durability needs.
The works will cover approximately 14.7 kilometers in length and have an execution period of eight months. No land expropriations are necessary, as the actions are carried out within the Xunta's public domain strip.
The Xunta reaffirms its commitment to improving the regional road network, aiming for lower long-term maintenance costs and greater user safety.
