The new Christmas decoration for A Estrada in 2026 aims for a warmer, more traditional, and endearing ambiance, combining lights with plant garlands, classic ornaments, and decorated trees.
Among this year's novelties are a new setting for the City Hall facade and the music bandstand in the Alameda. A Christmas Forest will also be created with nine trees of different heights, a Santa Claus house, and a space for children to deposit their letters.
A 22-meter tree in Praza de Galicia will be the tallest in the history of A Estrada's Christmas, almost doubling the size of previous years. This space gains special prominence with its recent pedestrianization.
Lighting will continue to be a key element, with 119 luminous arches, 262 lighting elements, and over half a million microLEDs.
The goal is for "Christmas to be much more than lights: to invite people to stroll, discover our spaces, take photos, gather, and more. A Christmas to feel and remember. A Christmas to enjoy in A Estrada, day and night."
