The city of Santiago de Compostela will host the international conference Quantum_Iber_IA on November 9 and 10, an event focusing on quantum computing, quantum communications, and artificial intelligence.

The Galician Business-University Foundation (FEUGA) will host the Quantum_Iber_IA International Conference 2026, a gathering that will bring together researchers, technology experts, and representatives from the business sector. The objective is to exchange knowledge, present recent developments, and discuss real-world use cases in quantum technologies and artificial intelligence.
This conference is part of the QUANTUM_IBER_IA project, which aims to position the POCTEP space as a benchmark in the development and application of advanced technologies. The initiative strategically integrates quantum technologies (computing, communications, and simulation) with artificial intelligence, promoting the shared use of infrastructures such as supercomputers and AI platforms in key sectors like agri-food, health, cybersecurity, energy, and the environment.
The project also works on creating a hybrid quantum+AI innovation ecosystem that connects research centers, universities, public administrations, and companies, fostering cross-border cooperation and talent attraction.
The two-day intensive program will include invited lectures. Eneko Agirre, director of the HiTZ Center for Language Technologies (Ixa Group), will open the first day, while Enrique Sánchez Bautista, head of the Brussels office of the Quantum Community Network, will open the second. Technical sessions will cover artificial intelligence, the intersection between quantum computing and AI, and quantum communications, in addition to poster sessions.
Attendance at the conference requires prior registration, and the capacity is limited to 105 people, with priority given to those with an accepted abstract. The registration form and full program are available on the event's website.
