The Ministry of Health, through the Xunta de Galicia, has published two tenders totaling 240,000 euros for the supply of portable digital radiology equipment for the hospitals in the Ferrol health area.

The tenders, published on the Public Contracts Portal of Galicia, allocate 119,790 euros (including VAT) to each of the units. One will be for the Naval Hospital of the University Clinical Complex of Ferrol, while the second, a portable digital radiurgical fluoroscopy unit, will be destined for the surgical block of the Arquitecto Marcide Hospital.
Interested companies have until November 4th to submit their offers. Both units must comply with current regulations on diagnostic imaging quality, radiological protection, and IT integration, ensuring the optimization of images and treatments, as well as the protection of individuals from ionizing radiation.
For the portable digital radiology unit, the contract includes installation, configuration, commissioning, supply of necessary hardware and software, and maintenance. It is a compact system designed for easy transport and use in any area of the Naval Hospital.
The portable digital radiurgical unit for the surgical area will feature a high-frequency generator with continuous and pulsed fluoroscopy modes, and digital radiography. The C-arm will have at least 75 centimeters of free space between the tube and the detector, and the latter will be digital.
