The Provincial Council of A Coruña has put out to tender two improvement projects on the provincial road network in the municipalities of Dumbría and Cerceda with a total investment of 898,032.10 euros. The interventions aim to enhance safety and travel comfort by renewing the surface of the DP-3404 road, running from Serra de Outes to Dumbría, and the DP-2403 road, from Cerceda to Xesteda.
In Dumbría, the provincial institution is allocating 450,448.82 euros to improve the road surface of the DP-3404 over a 4.37-kilometer stretch (between kilometer points 22.790 and 27.160). Works will include laying a new five-centimeter thick hot bituminous mix layer, milling the pavement at intersections and the adjacent lane to the pedestrian path, as well as cleaning the verges and replacing road markings. The estimated execution period is four months.
Meanwhile, in Cerceda, the investment amounts to 447,583.28 euros to renew the surface of the DP-2403 between kilometer points 2.900 and 5.500. The new six-centimeter thick hot bituminous mix layer will exclude the section where the intersection was recently modified. Prior to paving, verges and ditches will be cleaned, deteriorated areas repaired, and vertical signage, road markings, and safety barriers will be renewed where damaged. Pits and drains will also be adapted to the new surface height. This project has an execution period of five months.
