The Xunta de Galicia, represented by the Director General for People with Disabilities, Begoña Abeijón, received the honorary 'zoca' from the TDAH Salnés association today. The distinction, which also named her an honorary member, recognizes the Galician government's support for the entity's work in assisting individuals with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD).
The event took place in Cambados (Pontevedra) during the closing of the 10th TDAH Salnés 'Camiñando no tempo' (Walking in Time) conferences. The territorial delegate of the Xunta in Pontevedra, Pablo Fernández, also participated.
Begoña Abeijón highlighted the importance of sharing experiences about ADHD for its understanding and management, emphasizing that these meetings help to inform, raise awareness, and give greater visibility to the disorder.
Furthermore, the Director General stressed the need to support individuals with ADHD and their families, from childhood to adulthood, and reiterated the Xunta de Galicia's commitment to expanding the early intervention network throughout the region to prevent, detect, and address developmental problems in early childhood.
