The Cedeira Council will request a nominative subsidy of €39,024 from the Provincial Council of A Coruña to guarantee the continuity of federated swimming and triathlon practice for the Club Natación Cedeira during the temporary closure of the municipal pool for expansion works.

The plenary session of the Cedeira Council approved yesterday, in an extraordinary session, to request a subsidy from the Provincial Council of A Coruña to sustain the activities of the Club Natación Cedeira during the closure of the municipal pool. The proposal, which covers a one-year sports project until the third quarter of 2027, has a total cost of €48,780.
The justification report explains that, due to the closure of the municipal pool for expansion works, the club's athletes are traveling daily to Cariño for training, which has already led to member departures and a reduction in income.
The aid requested from the Provincial Council would cover 80% of the project (€39,024), while the remaining 20% (€9,756) would be covered by the council itself. The project includes coaches' salaries, van rental for travel, competition costs, rental of the Cariño pool, and license fees.
In the same plenary session, the draw for electoral boards for the November 29 elections was held, and the incorporation of €242,604.41 from the provincial contribution of POS+AD 4/2026 to the current year's current expenses chapter was approved.
