The Cedeira City Council has published on the Public Sector Contracting Platform the tender for the works to create a green area on Silva street, on a triangular plot known as “Casas Baratas”. This project has a budget of €67,555.12 (VAT included) and will involve the regeneration of a currently degraded and underutilized corner, offering residents a pleasant space to spend time, with urban furniture providing shelter from wind or rain.
The intervention, partly funded by the POS+2024 from the Provincial Council of A Coruña (52.63% of the cost), will take place on a 73-square-meter plot located 100 meters from the Municipal Auditorium. The background of this new leisure area will feature a mural by artist Lidia Cao, depicting an elderly woman reading a book in a youthful manner.
The project includes planting trees and vegetation, installing a seating area protected by a partial roof, bicycle parking, and renovating the sidewalks to ensure accessibility.
Interested companies can submit bids until November 24. The execution period for the work will be three months.
