At the doors of the Town Hall, a manifesto was read to commemorate International Breast Cancer Awareness Day, an institutional and advocacy event that focused on the real needs of patients and their families.
During the address, emphasis was placed on the vital importance of continuing to strengthen investment in oncological research, ongoing prevention, and access to screening and early detection programs as key and indispensable tools for saving lives.
This event complemented the awareness activities promoted by the Local Board of the AECC, together with the Ares City Council and the Sereas das Mirandas Association, reaffirming the municipal commitment in the fight against the disease.
