Restaurante Sabino has been crowned the winner of the tapa contest at the XXVI Exaltación do Cogomelo (Mushroom Festival) in Teixeiro, held this past weekend in Curtis. Their octopus with mushrooms tapa was the highest rated among the 19 participating establishments.

Second place went to Café Bar MG for their tapa A Cestiña. Cantina Estación secured third prize with a crispy langoustine and boletus tapa served on lime cream.
The competition also awarded fourth prizes to four establishments: Bar Dylan, for their scrambled mushrooms with prawns; O Noso Mesón, for their chicken with mushrooms tapa; Café Bar Luma, for their garlic mushrooms; and Restaurante Exprés, for their beans with mushrooms.
Once again, the hospitality sector in Curtis and Teixeiro demonstrated a high standard with varied and creative culinary proposals centered around mushrooms. The Concello de Curtis thanks all participating establishments for their involvement and their effort in contributing to the success of this gastronomic festival.
