The O Ventorrillo neighborhood hosted this Sunday the twelfth edition of its popular race, an event integrated into the XIII Coruña Corre Popular Races Circuit, which gathered over 1,000 participants.

The race, organized by the City Council of A Coruña, brought popular athletics to the city's neighborhoods, combining competition with the promotion of healthy lifestyle habits.
In the absolute category, Esteban Díaz Pérez won the men's race with a time of 20:30, while Clara Díaz Martín was the women's winner with 24:33. The main race, covering 5,850 meters, started at 10:00 AM and combined asphalt and dirt sections through O Ventorrillo and the surrounding area of A Silva.
Subsequently, the races for lower categories (under-18 to 'peques') took place with adapted courses ranging from 110 to 2,550 meters.
The Councilor for Sports, Manuel Vázquez, highlighted the importance of initiatives like Coruña Corre, promoted by the Government of Inés Rey, to encourage sports participation and bring athletics to different neighborhoods.
The O Ventorrillo race marks the final stretch of the XIII Coruña Corre Popular Races Circuit, which will conclude on November 22nd with the XIV Novo Mesoiro Popular Race.
