The definitive resolution of this call for applications, published today in the Official Gazette of the Province, distributes the funds on a competitive basis and will support the work of groups serving people with disabilities, mental health issues, chronic illnesses, as well as vulnerable individuals, children, youth, large families, and LGTBI individuals.
The mayor, Inés Rey, highlighted that "it is a fundamental obligation of public institutions to maintain and increase a dynamic network of support for the social fabric, putting everyone's resources at the service of initiatives and programs that work directly on the ground and with proximity, ultimately improving people's lives."
The subsidies, ranging from €1,122 to €3,395 per entity, will fund activities such as professional social work services, training activities, and audiovisual creation proposals.
In the coming weeks, the calls for subsidies for Equality and Participation will also be resolved, which will complement the area's aid to the associative fabric of A Coruña.
The resolution was signed on October 19 by the Councilor for Social Welfare, Participation, and Equality, Nereida Canosa, by delegation of the Local Government Board. The call had an initial budget of €125,000.
